ANDERSON STUDENT CENTER
University of St. Thomas
UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS' ANDERSON STUDENT CENTER is a 225,000 sq. ft. facility that Hallberg Engineering provided mechanical engineering design services for.
This new-build includes a four-lane bowling alley, bakery, four kitchens, two large dining areas, a large central atrium, underground parking, art galleries, office space and a meditation room. The University achieved LEED® Gold certification for this project for energy-efficient mechanical systems, water conservation measures, and lighting controls and daylighting.Â
HEI provided design development documents for the plumbing, HVAC, and temperature controls including the design of the two 315-ton chiller systems. The engineering services occurred during the Design Development phase. HEI also provided energy modeling services related to LEED® Energy & Atmosphere design points.
