Michael Temme, PE

MIKE TEMME was promoted to Project Manager at Hallberg Engineering in July 2026. Since joining the team in Fall 2018 as a mechanical engineer, Mike has brought a passion for problem-solving, collaboration, and delivering thoughtful engineering solutions for clients across a variety of industries.

Mike grew up in the country outside of the small town of Windom, MN.  As a kid, he always liked to take apart, fix, and figure out how things work so when deciding what to study in college, mechanical engineering was a natural fit. In college, Mike’s favorite classes and professors were in the HVAC design field which pushed him into the mechanical design field.

AT HEI, Mike has developed extensive experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems, leading projects, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and project teams. His experience in commissioning and energy performance optimization projects help him to understand multiple sides of the design and construction process. This extensive experience helps Mike streamline and improve how he approaches projects. As Project Manager, Mike oversees project coordination, team collaboration, design efforts, and client communication while continuing to bring his technical expertise to projects. His experience spans K-12 schools, government facilities, higher education, transportation, and data facilities.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE...

Mike enjoys spending time with his son and their 2 dogs. You can find them at the zoo, aquarium, playground, going to the movies, and visiting family, anything to spend time with his boy!

WHEN THE MINNESOTA SNOW MELTS AWAY...

You can find Mike cooking some awesome barbeque in his smoker, going fishing or hiking with his son, or taking walks with the dogs.
