RICK LUCIO joined Hallberg Engineering in Winter of 1998 as a mechanical engineer, bringing with him his knowledge of the commercial HVAC equipment industry. Within a short time, his experience with new building design and proficiency in the understanding of mechanical systems operations, led him to his role as Manager of the Mechanical and Commissioning departments.
In 2011, Rick became Vice President, with primary responsibility for corporate business development as well as continuing to manage multiple departments. His passion for being a leader in the engineering business community, and expertise in the field, led him to his current position as Chief Executive Officer and co-owner.
Rick grew up in the southern tip of Texas in a town called Brownsville where he was the youngest in a family of ten kids. He always loved math and science growing up, but his push to engineering came from a high school field trip to an oil refinery. He turned that into an internship at a place called "Alcoa Aluminum" which opened his eyes to everything engineering had to offer.

Rick loves to have a cold tap beer with his friends and family, especially after a round of golf. He loves the competitive aspect of the game, but most of all enjoys the four hours he gets to spend outside with his favorite people, his wife Kim and two kids, Samantha and Tony.
