TOMMY BAHAMA MARLIN BAR
TOMMY BAHAMA MARLIN BAR in Sunrise, Florida, merges a retail store with a casual dining restaurant and full bar. Hallberg Engineering partnered with Vanney Associates, Inc. to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for this project. This location is part of a long-standing collaboration supporting Tommy Bahama projects nationwide, including both Tommy Bahama retail stores and Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar locations.
The MEP design for this combined retail clothing and restaurant space required coordinated systems to support both occupancies while ensuring code compliance, efficiency, and occupant comfort. Mechanical systems include HVAC zoning, kitchen exhaust and make-up air, ventilation, and refrigeration coordination. Electrical design covers power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, kitchen equipment, POS systems, and data infrastructure, with lighting tailored for both retail displays and dining areas. Plumbing systems include domestic water, sanitary and grease waste, restrooms, kitchen connections, floor drains, and water heating. MEP coordination integrated with architectural and structural elements to optimize equipment placement, routing, and maintenance access while meeting applicable building, energy, and health codes.
