JOSEPH BORCHARDT joined Hallberg Engineering's electrical engineering team in Winter of 2017 after a summer of interning at HEI's Duluth office. He is originally from Maple Grove, MN and is the son of an Electrical Engineer; his interest in the field started from a young age. His passion for engineering peaked when he took engineering classes in high school which pushed him to study Electrical Engineering at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
BEYOND general electrical design project work, Joseph also aids in Revit assistance, lighting calculations via AGI, as well as using SKM for short circuit analysis, electrical system coordination, and arc flash evaluations.
OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE...
Joseph grew up wrestling and playing football. He roots for the UMN Gophers in football and wrestling, as well as the UMD Bulldogs teams. He also enjoys cheering on the USA Wrestling team and the Minnesota Vikings. He enjoys visiting family in Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Colorado. You can also find Joe practicing his guitar.
WHEN THE MINNESOTA SNOW MELTS AWAY...
You can find Joseph at the lake wakeboarding, barefoot skiing, and tubing behind the family boat while enjoying all sorts of music, especially music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
